Discover Nature in our National Parks
The Sunshine Coast has more national parks than any other region in Queensland. There are seven in total, and they range from large hinterland areas like the Glasshouse Mountains, to coastal paradises like Noosa and the southern fringe of Fraser Island.
Farmers Markets, Arts and Crafts Markets
The Sunshine Coast offers plenty of weekend markets. A majority of them sell local produce, ond other items ranging from apparel, novelties, handcrafts, foodstuffs and bric-a-brac. Some markets are only open in the mornings, some are only held in the afternoons whilst others are exclusively held at night.
Underwater World
Visit the largest tropical oceanarium in the southern hemisphere and discover the creatures of the deep at Underwater World. Underwater World is located adjacent to Mooloolaba Beach on the Wharf complex.
Australia Zoo - Crikey! (Steve Irwin's Zoo)
The Crocodile Hunter's Australia Zoo was first established on Queensland's Sunshine Coast in April 1970. Featuring a variety of animals - both Australian and exotic - this unique zoological facility attracts visitors from around the world.
The Ginger Factory

Big Pineapple and Macadamia Nut Factory
One of the most famous and visited locations in the 'Big Thing Universe', is the Big Pineapple. At 16 metres high it serves as a sentinel for the plantation and its rides, flora and fauna attractions.
Aussie World and the Ettamogah Pub
The Aussie World family fun-park is located behind the iconic Ettamogah Pub. Set in beautiful native Australian gardens, Aussie World incorporates over 30 rides and games including Wild Mouse Rollercoaster, Dodgem Cars, the second largest Ferris Wheel in the southern hemisphere, Self Drive Jeeps and the classic Swinging Ship and Octopus Rides.
Big Kart Track
'The Big Kart Track' and 'The Bungy Bullet' are both situated at the one location on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. You can either race your friends on Australia's fastest go-kart track or experience extreme G Force after being shot 50 metres into the air in just over a second.
Watersports on the Pumicestone Passage

The Sunshine Coast area boasts a number of boutiques, surf shops and novelty stores in Caloundra and Maroochydore's Sunshine Plaza. Caloundra's Bulcock Street is a bustling hive of shopping activity with a wide array of stores for your every need.
